Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a militant of Hizb ul-Mujahideen from Bijbehara area of south Kashmir.
A Police spokesperson in a statement said that on credible input police and security forces near Bijbehara today arrested a militant who was active from last one and a half year.
“He has been identified as Rameez Ahmad Dar, a resident of Kulgam,” he said.
“He is affiliated with proscribed militant outfit HM. Arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession. Several terror crime cases are registered against him,” said police spokesman in a statement.
