SRINAGAR: A militant associate was arrested along with arms and ammunition in the Nadihal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora on Saturday evening.
“During a joint Naka by the Police and the Army’s 14RR at Nadihal this evening, a person was seen moving suspiciously. When he was challenged, he attempted to flee. However, security forces tactically apprehended the terrorist associate. He has been identified as Waseem Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Ganie Malik, a resident of Gundpora Rampura, Bandipora,” officials said.
From his possession, one pistol, one hand grenade, and 15 rounds were recovered. More details are awaited. (GNS)
