Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a militant associate in north Kashmir’s Sopore town of Baramulla district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that he has been identified as Muzamil Ahmad War resident of Warpora Sopore.
“As per police records he was involved in assisting the active militants of proscribed outfit LeT operating in the areas of Sopore,” said the spokesman.
“As per the investigations, he was providing logistic support and shelter to the active militants of LeT operating in the areas of Sopore,” he said.
“Incriminating materials have been recovered from his possession. A case under relevant sections of law stands registered against him,” he added.
“Further investigation into the matter is in progress,” said the spokesman.
