SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a Al Badr militant associate in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that Police in Pulwama along with Army (55RR) and CRPF (182/183 BN) at a joint checkpoint established at Bandzoo Crossing arrested one active militant associate linked with proscribed outfit Al-Badr and recovered incriminating materials, arms/ammunition including a Pistol from his possession.
“He has been identified as Yawar Bashir Dar son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Arigam Pulwama,” he said.
“In this regard, a Case vide FIR No. 358/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Pulwama and further investigation is in progress,” the spokesman said.
