JAMMU: Police on Monday announced the detention of a hardcore militant associate in Udhampur district under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
Apolice spokesperson in a statement said that Udhampur Police have detained and lodged a hardcore terror associate in jail under the Jammu & Kashmir PSA.
“The accused has been identified as Mohd Rafiq, son of Mohd Qasim, resident of Balota Chigla, Basantgarh. He has been involved in multiple terror-related cases and was actively working as a guide and facilitator for terrorist organisations prior to his arrest,” it reads.
Given the nature of his activities, authorities ordered his detention under the PSA, according to the statement.
