SRINAGAR: Security forces busted an underground hideout in the Pehlipora area of Dachigam forests, but the militants managed to escape before the raid, triggering an ongoing search operation.
As per sources, intelligence inputs hinted at militant movement in the upper reaches of Pehlipora, prompting a joint operation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Srinagar and the 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR).
During the operation, forces uncovered a bunker-type hideout stocked with logistics. “The militants had already vacated the site by the time our team arrived,” sources said, adding that efforts are underway to track and apprehend them. (KDC)
