JAMMU: Security forces on Saturday busted a suspected terror hideout in a forward village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district and seized a few grenades and mines, security officials said.
The hideout was unearthed during a search operation in the Balnoi sector of Mendhar subdivision, they said.
Two hand grenades and three mines were seized from the hideout. No arrests were made during the operation.
Meanwhile, the officials said Army troops found a rusted mortar shell during patrol near a water point in the Mankote sector of Mendhar.
The shell was later safely destroyed by experts in a controlled explosion.
