A militant hideout was busted by army and Police in Urpora area of in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said.
A police spokesman in a statement said that based on a credible input, Shopian police along with army busted a militant hideout in the orchards of village Urpora, Shopian.
“Police have recovered incriminating materials including ammunition and other substances used by the militants,” said the spokesman.
“A case FIR No.01/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Zainapora in this regard. The recovered incriminating material has been seized by the police and taken into records for the purpose of the investigation,” he said.
“Officers from the local police station are investigating the matter,” said the spokesman.
