SRINAGAR: An unidentified militant was killed as the Army foiled an infiltration bid in the Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
Quoting sources KNO reported that the Army noticed the movement of militants along the Line of Control in Uri, after which an operation was launched.
They said the militants were challenged by the Indian Army, leading to a gunfight. “So far, one terrorist is believed to have been killed, and the operation is still ongoing.”
“Exchange of fire was continuing when the last reports came in,” they added.
