The militant killed in an encounter in Khalhar Kokernag has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Haroo from Pushwara Islamabad.
19 RR Army and Police had cordoned off Khalhar village in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad, after which police had said that it killed a militant.
“The brief gun-fight started around 3 am today,” sources said, “it ended for an hour.” “Mushtaq was a Pak trained militant who had surrendered few years back, but had joined militant ranks few months back” sources added.
Police said that he was currently associated with LeT militant outfit.
