SRINAGAR: A militant was killed in an ongoing operation at Batpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, an official said.
An official said that one unidentified militant has been killed so far in the ongoing encounter.
He said that army man and two civilians were injured in the initial exchange of fire in the encounter.
He added that the gunfight broke out at Batpora Kulgam following a search operation.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Batpora area of Kulgam.
