SRINAGAR: A militant was killed in an ongoing operation in Check Cholan area in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday, an official said.

An official said that one militant has been killed in the encounter.
He said that the gunfight broke out in Check Cholan area in Shopian on Tuesday following a search operation.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces in Check Cholan village of Shopian district.
