SRINAGAR: An unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing operation in Zoonimar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday, police said.
An official said that one unidentified militant has been killed so far in the ongoing encounter.
He said that the gunfight broke out in Zoonimar area of the district today early morning following a search operation.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces in Zoonimar area of Srinagar.
Mobile Internet was suspended across the district soon after the news of the gunfight spread.
An official said the Internet was suspended as a precautionary measure.
