SRINAGAR: An unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing operation in Chewa Ular area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday, an official said.
An official said that one unidentified militant has been killed so far in the ongoing encounter.
He said that the gunfight broke out in Chewa Ullar area of the district on Thursday evening following a search operation.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces in Chewa Ullar area of Tral.
Mobile Internet was suspended across the Awantipora police district soon after the news of the gunfight spread.
An official said the Internet was suspended as a precautionary measure
