SRINAGAR
One unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with police and security forces in Silkot Kupwara, a police statement said on Thursday.
“On specific information a cordon search operation was launched by Police, 4 Para, 41 RR and 98 CRPF in Peer Mohalla Silkot Kupwara. The Cordon and search operation turned into encounter. One unidentified militant was killed,” the statement said.
“One AK rifle, 3 magazines, one Radio Set and some documents were recovered from the encounter site.”
