Terming the detention of chairperson Hurriyat (g) Syed Ali Geelani and other amalgam leaders as “unjustified”, and “worst kind of the state terrorism”, Hurriyat Conference (g) Sunday condemned it in strong words.
Besides continuous imprisonment of Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani, the state administration Sunday continued the house arrest process of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Raja Mehraj-ud-din, Ayaz Akbar, Altaf Ahmad Shah Mohammad Ashraf Laya and Shakeel Ahmad Bhat and the police did not provided any reason for this arrest.
According to the Hurriyat amalgam, “there wasn’t any program or any event announced on this Sunday after the shutdown call of Saturday against the controversial court decision but the police deployment outside the residences of these pro-freedom leaders was not lifted which was expected.”
Meanwhile paying rich and glorious tributes to the slain militants in the Kakpora Pulwama gun battle, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Syed Ali Geelani said, “these brave hearts of our nation are sacrificing their youth hood for the freedom and dignity of their people so in this way they are our national heroes.”
“On the direction of Geelani Sahab today a top level delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat which include central Hurriyat leader Bashir Ahmad Qurashi, district President Pulwama Ghulam Mohiudin Andrabi and other district officials visited Kakpora Pulwama and also participated in the funeral prayers of the militant,” the statement said. “Geelani addressed the funeral procession over telephone and slammed the rigid and stubborn policies of the Indian rulers.”
