The incarcerated senior Hurriyat (g) leader and Chairperson Democratic Freedom Party Shabir Ahmad Shah Tuesday paid glowing tributes to Bijbehara’s slain militants: Sartaj Ahmad Lone, Adil Ahmad Sheikh and Tanveer Ahmad Bhat.

In a statement issued to press, Shabir Ahmad Shah said, “these martyrs are giving new direction to the freedom movement.”

“Khwaja Sahib infused new spirit in journalism in Kashmir by updating it at par with the modern lines,” he said.

The DFP chairperson while condemning the arrest spree across the state said the government “had made life of youth hell”.

Shah expressed strong resentment over the nocturnal raids of youth in Palhallan and the arrest of students saying the “Mufti Sayeed led government is playing with the careers of youth in order to save his own chair”.

The statement further said that Shah reminded Mufti Sayeed of “his promises during election time regarding the release of prisoners, revocation of draconian laws like PSA”. “After achieving power, they forgot all their promises and even surpassed all the records of previous tyrant regimes,” he said.

Meanwhile, senior Hurriyat (g) constituent Jammu Kashmir National Front Tuesday paid rich and glowing tributes to the Bijbehara slain militants
