Clashes erupted in Tral town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district after Friday prayers against the killing of slain militants who were killed in an encounter with government forces on Wednesday.

One paramilitary CRPF man has been reported injured during the clashes.

Angry youths pelted stones at forces deployed in the area to foil protests against the killing of three militants.

Reports reaching Kashmir Life said that youth poured on streets after Friday prayers to protest against the militant killings. However, they were confronted by police and paramilitary CRPF men who were deployed in strength. The youth later pelted stones and engaged in massive stone pelting with police and paramilitary soldiers who retaliated by firing tear gas shells to disperse them.

The stone pelting is going on while this report is being filed.
