Two militant turned cops Tuesday fled with the service rifles and some arms and ammunition in Doda district of Jammu Division.
A police official told CNS that Reyaz Ahmed and Gul Muhammad both residents of Doda district managed to escape with an INSAS and AK 47 rifles. “The duo also managed to take some AK 47 magazines along with them,” the police official said.
“Both Reyaz and Gul were Hizb militants before joining police department and they presently were serving as SPO’s,” he said.
When contacted SHO Doda told CNS that an FIR vide number 137/2015 has been registered against the duo and hunt has been launched to nab them.
