Militants and the army exchanged fire in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday after the militants attacked a patrolling party, reports said.

Militants attacked a patrolling party of the army in Hajin area of the district early morning,reported ANI.

Report said the army retaliated, resulting in a brief exchange of fire.

Soon searched were launched in the area. However, no contact was established,ANI reported.

The exchange of fire comes on the second day of unilateral ceasefire announced by the Dehli in the holy month of Ramadhan.
