Suspected militants on Thursday evening fired at the joint patrolling party of the police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official said that militants fired at a joint party of the police and the CRPF in Belov village of the district.
He said the fire was retaliated by the Police and CRPF troopers. However, there was no report of any injury on either side.
Soon after the incident government forces launched a manhunt to nab the attackers.
