SRINAGAR: Militants on Wednesday evening fired upon a police vehicle in Allochibagh area of Srinagar, however, no casualty was reported in the incident, police said here.
Police spokesman in a tweet said, “In Allochibagh bund area of Srinagar, militnats fired upon a vehicle bound small police party. This was effectively retaliated by the police party. militants took advantage of darkness & ran away towards built up area. No injury or other damage took place.”

Soon after the attack a cordon and search operation has been launched in the area to nab the attackers.
