Militants on Wednesday evening lobbed a grenade towards police Post Watergam at Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police said.
An official said that militants hurled a hand grenade on Police Post Watergam at Sopore which exploded outside the Police Post.
However, no loss of life or any injury was reported.
Army, police and CRPF troopers rushed to the area immediately after the blast and launched searches to nab the militants.
Police has initiated an investigation into the case.
