SRINAGAR: Minister for Jal Shakti, Tribal Affairs, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Javed Ahmed Rana, conducted a surprise inspection at the Sitlee Filtration Plant in Nagrota on Saturday. The Minister reviewed the plant’s operations, which play a crucial role in supplying drinking water to Jammu city.

During the visit, Rana assessed the water facilities and supply availability for Jammu, directing regular testing of water sources to ensure safe drinking water for residents.
The Minister also inspected the Tube Well at Kiryani Talab and the Overhead Tank at Narwal. At Kiryani Talab, he interacted with locals and gathered immediate feedback on the water supply in their areas, instructing officials to conduct regular field visits, engage with residents, and act promptly on issues.
Rana further directed the Chief Engineer to visit the Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal regions to improve the water supply systems there.
The Minister urged officials to perform their duties diligently to ensure the public faces no inconvenience. (KNO)
