SRINAGAR: A minor boy lost his life after he drowned in stagnant Dal water in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.
An official said that a minor boy slipped to death from a wooden bridge in Guchi Mohalla Dal Lake after he tried to climb into a boat.
He said the boy identified as Nasrullah Gucchu son of Mohammad Yaqoob resident of Guchi Mohalla Dal died on the spot.
He added that after his body was fished out it was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation—(KS)
