SRINAGAR: A 4-year-old boy drowned to death after he fell into a Tongri nallah on Tuesday afternoon in Dangam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Reports said that the minor boy identified as ed as Hazim Rafeeq Malik, 4, son of Rafeeq Ahmad Malik of Dangam slipped into the Nallah and washed away.
As soon as the news of the incident spread a team of police and local men rushed to the spot and operation was launched to rescue the minor boy.
However, locals said that after hours of strenuous efforts, the body of the minor was recovered from the nallah.
Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident and further formalities are also in progress.
