SRINAGAR: A minor girl aged one year died after she slipped into a stream while a nine-year-old boy was washed away in flash floods in Rajouri district, officials said Saturday.
Quoting officials news agency KNO reported that a year-old girl Arifa daughter of Shabir Muhammad slipped into a stream near her house at Gundi Kotranka Tehsil in Rajouri district. “She drowned to death and her body was fished out later,” the officials said.
In the second incident, a nine-year-old boy was washed away in the flash flood in Jamola village of Rajouri who was identified as Faizan Ali (9) son of Niyamit Ali. “The boy was crossing a small water channel flash flood took him way,” the official said, adding that his body was also fished out later.
