SRINAGAR: A nine-year-old girl was mauled to death by a leopard in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday evening.
Officials said that a leopard attacked Rabiya Nisar (9) near her residence in the Samsan area of Khansahib.
“The minor girl was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival,” they said.
Officials from wildlife and other concerned departments have swung into action and a manhunt will be launched to trace the leopard. (KNO)
