A Pulwama family on Tuesday claimed that their Class 7 daughter is missing for last two months and local police has failed to trace their daughter.
Muhammad Yousuf Bhat, the father of the girl said that her Class 7 daughter was kidnapped by Bashir Chopan of Muqam Chadoora on July 18 this year and since then she is untraceable.
“She had gone to fetch flour but was kidnapped by Bashir Chopan with the help of his few associates,” Bhat alleged.
He said a formal FIR stands registered against the culprits at police station Kakapora, however, the main accused is still at large. “After police failure, the Chief Judcial Magistrate Pulwama Javaid Aalam directed SSP Pulwama to constitute a five member Special Investigating Team headed by a Dy SP. The SIT has been constituted but the case is yet to be cracked,” he said.
A police official said that they have got some leads and the culprit will be arrested soon.
