A day after the killing of a minor boy in Hajin town of Bandipora district, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq condemned the “heart-wrenching” incident and expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family.
“Condemn and deeply saddened at the killing of 11 year old Atif in Hajin. It is heart wrenching that the young child was lost in such a manner. My heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and dua for jannah for the innocent soul,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
Earlier, the body of minor boy Atif Mir was retrieved from the encounter site who according to police was taken as hostage by the militants during the encounter in Hajin.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz strongly denounced the ban on JKLF. “Such anti Kashmir tactics will not change the reality of the Kashmir issue nor the urgency to resolve it,” he said.
