SRINAGAR: Moulvi Nisar Ahmad, member of the Mirwaiz family and son of Moulvi Muhammad Shah, resident of Brein Nishat, passed away after a prolonged illness.
Moulvi Nisar was an electrical engineer by profession and the grandson of Moulvi Rasool Shah Sahib (RA) and nephew of Muhajir-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Yusuf Shah (RA).
The funeral prayer for the deceased was led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq at Brein Nishat. Moulvi Nisar Ahmad was later laid to rest in the ancestral graveyard of the Mirwaiz family.
A three-day mourning will be observed by the family for the deceased. While a brief prayer session will be held at the deceased’s ancestral home in Brein Nishat, adjacent to Water Works Road, on Sunday, August 18, at 11 am, no condolence ceremony will take place at the graveyard.
In a condolence statement, Mirwaiz Manzil termed the demise of Moulvi Nisar as a great loss for the Mirwaiz family and prayed for his magfirah and elevation to the highest ranks in Jannah.
