Expressing grief and sorrow over the demise of mother of noted Kashmiri journalist, writer and intellectual, Yusuf Jameel, Hurriyat (m) chairperson, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday expressed his sympathies with Yusuf Jameel and other members of the bereaved family.
In a statement issued to KNS, the Mirwaiz after learning about her demise, visited the Habbak Naseem Bagh residence of the deceased and led her funeral prayers.
Prominent personalities and people from all walks of life participated in her funeral.
Recalling her kindness and nobility of the deceased, the Mirwaiz prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant her a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and forbearance to the bereaved family. (KNS)
