Valley’s chief priest and chairperson of his faction in divided Hurriyat Conference, Dr Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Saturday offered Rs one lakh to parents of recent acid attack college going victim.

Mirwaiz strongly condemned the vicious act and demanded strict punishment for the accused who committed the crime. The victim has undergone two major surgeries and is admitted in a Chennai Hospital.

And after hectic efforts, police was finally succesful and arrested two accused in the blind case.

Meanwhile, on the eve of the Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), Dar-ul-Khair Mirwaiz Manzil is organizing a three day medical camp at Dargah, Hazratbal.

“During the camp, specialist doctors are treating the patients and free medicines are being given to the patients,” a statement of the party said.

On the other hand under the ‘Akh-Akis’ housing initiative, foundation of six houses for the flood affected will be laid on January 7 at Chattabal. During the foundation laying ceremony apart from Mirwaiz, noted Islamic personalities would participate in the event.
