SRINAGAR: Officials said a paramilitary CISF member was wounded in a misfire while cleaning a rifle by a colleague at NHPC Uri in Baramulla district on Friday.
According to a police officer, Constable Manjunath was cleaning his weapon when a bullet ricocheted off a wall and struck his colleague, Sandeep Dutta.
The injured was taken to district hospital Baramulla where his condition is stated to be normal. “The fire hit on his left hip after rebound from the wall,” the official added.
