Police had to use force to disperse 10 thousand youth outside the Indore stadium Srinagar, on Wednesday who had gathered to attend a written test. The authorities had to cancel the test after a law and problem while as the candidates who had come from far off places of the valley alleged the administration of being “irresponsible” and “unprofessional”.
Reports said that authorities had called over ten thousand candidates to appear in a written test for the appointments in the department of Fire and Emergency Services at the Indore Stadium Srinagar. The aspirants had started gathering outside the venue from early morning and till 10:30 the candidates from all the districts had reached the spot. “The police could not manage the huge number of the candidates to allow them one by one,” an eyewitness told Kashmir Life adding “the venue also proved to be very small to manage the huge number of candidates resulting in the mess.”
“The candidates reached from the far off places were in hurry because they had to return to their homes and on the other hand the authorities had not made arrangements on the professional lines,” another eyewitness said.
As the queues of candidates became longer and longer they started reacting against the authorities, complaining their “unprofessional” attitude and alleged “harassment” of the police, and the situation went out of control.
The police men swung into action and lathi charged the candidates. The candidates were dispersed and later authorities cancelled the test.
Earlier, hundreds of vehicles from Jawhar Nagar to Bakhshi Stadium and around were stuck in a worst traffic jam due to the situation outside the Indore Stadium.
