SRINAGAR: A 12-year-old girl, who had been missing since Saturday, was found dead in a field in Galwanpora village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday morning, officials said.
An official said the girl went missing on Saturday, prompting her family and local residents to launch a search operation.
He said her body was recovered from a nearby field on Sunday, causing shock and grief in the area.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot, took cognisance of the incident, and initiated legal proceedings. Further investigation is underway. (KNO)
