His car was found abandoned at Paranhall. As part of the ongoing search operation, a dozen individuals have been questioned, and the call records of the missing soldier are under examination, as per officials’ statement on Monday.

Expressing his concern, Wani’s father, Mohammad Ayoub Wani, made an appeal to the possible abductors, urging them to release his son unharmed. He emphasised that Javaid was the sole breadwinner of the family and urged for his safe return.

“I appeal to all the brothers to let him go alive. If he has troubled anyone, I apologise for that. If they want I will get him to quit his job as well,” Wani said.

Narrating the events leading to the disappearance, Wani’s father mentioned that on Saturday evening, his son had gone out to buy meat before planning to head back to his place of posting on Sunday.

However, the situation took a distressing turn when they received a call informing them that his car was found abandoned with its doors open. While there have been eyewitness accounts suggesting the presence of blood marks in the vehicle, officials have not yet confirmed or denied these claims.
