SRINAGAR:  A bride from the Sangaldan area of Ramban was recovered hours after going missing on Tuesday. The just married bride was on her way to in-laws in Mrah Jammu along with her groom.

A police spokesman in a statement said that on May 10, an application was submitted in PS Ramban by one Groom namely Darbar Singh son of Bagwan Singh a resident of Gatlla Tehsil Marh Distt Jammu stating therein that today when his Baraat was returning from Sangaldan along with bride (name withheld) and when they reached near Ramban town, the said bride went for beauty parlour on the pretext of doing some makeup and did not come back.

The spokesman said that on this, a missing report was entered in the daily diary vide DDR No. 20 dated 10-05-2022.

“Acting swiftly on the information, a wireless message was broadcasted to all Police Stations/Police Posts of J&K through wireless and a special Police Team was constituted to trace the missing lady which was lead by Insp Sandeep Charak  SHO PS Ramban and assisted by PSI Arun Singh Jasrotia, L/Ct Shanu Devi 837/Rbn, SPO Usman Nizam no. 423/SPO,” said the spokesman.

“After hectic efforts and with the help of technical assistance, the missing lady was traced today from Verinag Anantnag area. Finally, the missing lady was handed over to her family after legal formalities. The family of the missing lady appreciated the efforts of the police,” he said.

“The entire search was effected by a police team headed by Insp Sandeep Charak  SHO  PS Ramban under the supervision of Pardeep Singh Sen DySP HQ  Ramban with the overall supervision of Mohita Sharma IPS, SSP Ramban,” said the spokesman.
