SRINAGAR: Khadija (70), a resident of Shopian, who went missing from Jamia Millia metro station Delhi, has been traced in Okhla area on Thursday late night.
Khadija went missing from Jamia Milia Islamia metro station on March 9. Accordingly, a missing report was lodged in Zakir Nagar police station Zakir Nagar and a search was started to trace her.
An official said that on Thursday late at night, some people spotted her at Okhla area and reported to Lajpat Nagar police station.
Acting instantly, the woman was immediately handed over to legal heirs after completion of all legal formalities, he said.
Her daughter Nusrat, said, “We are very happy to see our mother alive and thankful to people who helped us in locating her.”
“Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah and great concern, cooperation and prayers of all friends my mother has been traced out…I am thankful to all people who stood with me in my tough time and send their love and blessings,” she tweeted.
