Kulgam police recovered the body of missing lady from Qazigund area, police said on Thursday.
The lady was missing since May 8, from Sher Bagh Islamabad hospital.
Kulgam police was informed by some locals that a female body is lying in the open fields near Mir Bazar. Police party rushed to the spot and recovered the female body.
The body bore burn marks and was in semi decomposed state. The body was later identified as Sumaira Jan wife of Mehboob Ahmad Mir resident of Babdar, Fathapora Islamabad. The lady was reported to be missing since May 8, from Sher Bagh hospital. A missing report already stands registered in police post Sher Bagh, Islamabad.
A team of FSL experts was been deputed to the spot for investigation. The body has been sent for Post Mortem.
Police said that some ‘miscreants’ pelted stones at the FSL vehicle at the spot at Mir Bazar breaking few window panes of the vehicle. However, police chased them away and carried on with their investigations.
