Body of missing junior engineer, Mudasir Aziz of Srinagar, who was believed to have committed suicide by jumping into river near Zaina Kadal on May 7, has been recovered from Sumbal area of Bandipora on Friday.

Mudassir’s brother wrote on social networking site facebook: “Thanks to Allmigh ALLAH body of my beloved sister Mudasir Javed found at Sumbel after 48 days of her death. INA LILLAHI WA INA ILIHI RAAJIOON .

Condolence will be held at our old residence mir mohallah malaratta.”

Mother of four-year-old, Mudassir was a junior engineer – an M.Tech topper of her time, posted in the Irrigation Department of state government in Ganderbal.

Police and teams of NDRF were on job to trace her dead body river Jhelum for last forty-eight days.

Earlier, her family staged a protest demonstration in press colony Srinagar suspecting foul about her missing.

The family had demanded that police should question her in-laws and her husband. They claimed that her in-laws would repeatedly harass her.
