SRINAGAR: The body of a 24-year-old non-local was discovered and recovered from the Jhelum River in the Sopore area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir, according to officials.
Officials said that some passersby found a body in the Jhelum River in the Tulibal area. Subsequently, a police team arrived at the scene and retrieved the body from the water source.
“The body has been identified as that of Pintu, son of Ved Prakash, a resident of Kabirpora Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh,” they said. They added that the deceased person had been missing since June 13.
A police official, confirming the incident, told GNS that they have taken note of the situation. (GNS)
