SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have traced a woman who was missing from north Kashmir’s Bandipora district since February 22.
A police spokesman in a statement said that on 22/02/2022, PS Hajin received a written complaint stating therein that lady namely Sheeraza Begum wife of Ishfaq Ahmad Khan resident of Hajin is missing from Hajin market.
Accordingly, a missing report was lodged in Police Station Hajin and investigation was initiated, said the spokesman.
Subsequently, massive search was launched by a police team under the guidance/supervision of SDPO Hajin Latief Khan-JKPS and SHO PS Hajin Insp Zahoor Ahmad, he said.
After strenuous efforts and utilising all available technical/human resources the said lady was traced from Ashmuqam Anantnag. After completion of all legal/medical formality the said lady was handed over to her relatives, said police spokesman in a statement
