A 25-year-old missing Boniyar youth was found hanged in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday evening after four days.

A police spokesperson in a statement said: “On 14th of December 2018, one person Nazir Ahmad Khan son of Fareed Ahmad Khan resident of Arunbua Boniyar, Uri reported in Police Station Baramulla that his son Azam Nazir Khan aged about 25 years, working as Gym Trainer at Hulk Gym center Azad Gunj Baramulla has been missing from December 13, 2018.”

“Accordingly a missing report was lodged in Police Station Baramulla and investigation were started. During investigation CCTV footage of the vicinity was obtained and all probable places were also searched, however, he could not be traced,” said the spokesman.

“The body of the missing person was today found hanging with the ceiling in a building in Azad Gunj Baramulla,” he said.

“Circumstantial evidence and injury marks on the body of the deceased suggest this prima facia as a case of homicide,” he added.

“Accordingly, a case FIR No 207/2018 under section 302 RPC was registered in Police Station Baramulla,” the spokesman said.

“The body of the victim has been taken for post-mortem and further investigation into the matter has been set into motion,” said police spokesman in a statement.
