SRINAGAR: Mission Youth Jammu and Kashmir has started an initiative “Spurring Entrepreneurship” which aims at providing financial assistance to unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir who are willing to start their business. The amount provided can range from 2 lakh rupees to 20 lakh rupees.

It has 25 per cent reservation for women.

Youth who are between the age of 18 years – 40 years and have qualified class 12th or above are eligible for the financial assistance.

There can be a relaxation on educational qualification and age criteria by CEO Mission Youth based on proper justification.

Candidates who have an established business for at least two years can also seek financial assistance for its expansion, however, borrower should not be in default to any bank or financial institution.

Financial assistance will be provided under the scheme by J&K Bank as a start-up loan.
