Jan urged the Speaker to allow discussion on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, emphasising the urgent need for the Assembly to address the killings of Palestinian civilians and children. He expressed deep concern over the escalating conflict and called on members to condemn the atrocities collectively.

“This House must not remain silent on the massacre of children and civilians in Palestine,” Jan said, appealing for a unified voice of compassion and justice from the Jammu Kashmir legislature.

The appeal reflects growing concern among lawmakers over international humanitarian issues, with Jan stressing that the Assembly should use its platform to raise awareness and advocate for civilian protection in conflict zones.
