SRINAGAR: Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, MLA from Budgam, on Monday raised concerns over the delay in the rationalisation of the reservation policy, alleging a lack of clarity from the government.
The Govt keeps dangling ‘rationalization’ of the reservation policy while systematically sidelining Kashmiri-speaking Youth .

He said that a question he raised in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was answered with the response that the matter is “pending before the competent authority,” which he termed vague and unsatisfactory.
Questioning accountability, the legislator sought details about the identity and role of the authority handling the issue.
He has now submitted a Calling Attention Motion in the Assembly to seek a comprehensive response on the status of the reservation policy. The motion is currently awaiting admission.
