SRINAGAR: Speaker Pro-tem of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mubarik Gul, chaired a meeting on Sunday at the Legislative Assembly Complex in Srinagar to review preparations for the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected MLAs.
The Speaker Pro-tem emphasised the importance of ensuring that all necessary facilities are in place for a smooth event. Key areas of focus included basic amenities, audio-visual support, internet connectivity, and electricity. He also instructed officers to ensure proper sanitation and regular cleaning of the complex.
He delved upon the officers to designate the parking spaces for the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, ministers, and assembly staff. In addition, the Chief Engineer was directed to maintain roads and other spaces leading to the Assembly.
He discussed security measures to ensure fool proof security arrangements in and around the Legislative Assembly Complex.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including IGP Traffic, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary; Commissioner SMC, Owais Ahmed; Director Floriculture Kashmir, Shakeel-ul-Rehman; Chief Engineer, R and B, Sajad Naqeeb; Chief Engineer KPDCL, Sandeep Seth; Joint Director Information Kashmir, Mohammad Aslam; senior officers of estates and PHE departments, representatives of JKTDC, BSNL and other agencies.
