‘Mock’ Drill Creates Panic in Pampore

The locals of Saffron town Pampore were terrified after army and police were holding “mock” drill in the area.

Confirming the incident, the SHO of the area said, “it was mock drill being done by army.”

The drill was stopped after locals complained about it.

The local reports reaching here said that at around 5 pm, huge posse of Army and police suddenly appeared in vehicles at main chowk Kadlabal.

“Then four-way was sealed. The traffic also came to halt for fifteen minutes,” local reports said.

“In the ensuing milieu, some civilian vehicles were also thoroughly frisked. Even ambulances were not allowed to move,” said a local.

The SHO informed that “panic” like situation was conveyed to SP concerned who acted swiftly and the “drill” was stopped.
