Ahead of Prime Minister’s scheduled visit to Srinagar on Monday, the Director General of Police along with other senior officials Saturday visited and reviewed the security arrangements in and around the SK stadium.

Well informed sources said that Director General of Police K Rajindra arrived in SK Stadium and inspected the venue where Modi is schedule to address a public rally on Monday .The top leaders of the Bhartiya Janta party also accompanied him, sources said.

“After inspecting the venue, DGP chaired a high level meeting which was attended by various wings of forces, and senior officers of District administration and police. The officers briefed the DGP about the various steps taken by them to secure the visit of Prime Minister,” sources said.

They added that the District Police Srinagar also presented a detailed layout of security grid around the areas as well as around the venue through power point presentation.

Meanwhile, sources said that a special team of Black Cat Commandos is also arriving at Srinagar ahead of the PM visit.

Pertinently this will be the first election rally of Prime minster Narendar Modi in Srinagar.
